Arusha National Park sits just 50 kilometers from Kilimanjaro International Airport, northeast of Arusha town. It’s a place full of beauty and life, where black-and-white colobus monkeys leap through the trees, giraffes wander across the open plains, and flamingos gather on the calm waters of the Momella Lakes, all watched over by the stunning Mt. Meru.
The park may be smaller than the Serengeti or Tarangire, but it’s packed with variety and charm. Covering a space bigger than 77,000 soccer fields, it brings together an incredible mix of landscapes. From the dramatic slopes of Mt. Meru, Africa’s fifth-highest peak, to the sparkling Momella Lakes and the green Ngurdoto Crater, you’ll find forests, grasslands, savannah, and wetlands, each home to a wide range of wildlife waiting to be discovered.
